I tried looking for a tutorial on how to hook it up but unfortunately, it only had the directions for Windows 8. I tried my hardest to find out how to connect. I finally found it under the new notifications tab and the problem is that it will not connect to the adapter even though it says its ready on the TV Screen.
I also went under the devices tab under settings to try and hook up a new one, no luck there. It was able to find my tv as it is a smart tv but It had no luck finding the adapter. Thinking that it was my Laptop that had the issue, I reverted back to Windows 8. I had no problems with finding it and it worked flawlessly.
I really like windows 10 and I would love to find out how I would be able to hook it up with Windows If anyone has had this issue and has resolved it, I would love to know! This thread is locked.

User's post on August 10, Thanks in advance. This response has almost nothing to do with the question asked. No one was interested in connecting with a Smart TV. The person asking the question said rather specifically that he or she had no trouble with that. The problem is connecting with a Microsoft Wireless Adapter. As are as I can tell, it does not work with Windows If this is not correct, let me know. It should work Microsoft first you were way behind, regarding the Chromecast from Google.
Its just ridiculous that I can use a Chromecast with Windows 10, but not you own "Microsoft wireless display adapter" I have Three laptops, desktop, and surface rt. The PC's are all win NONE Work, not a single device. Waste of time and money. Fix this please.
I absolutely agree. I bought my adapter several days ago. Win 10 is windows latest OS release last August and this display adpater is supposed to be their latest too.
